Systemic and selective herbicide, effective against narrow-leaved weeds in onion, rapeseed, sugar beet and soybean fields
How it works
This herbicide stops the growth of weeds by disrupting the function of fatty acid-forming enzymes. It is absorbed by plants through the leaves and inhibits the growth of meristematic tissues of the plant by inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase enzyme. It is a selective and penetrating herbicide from the aryloxyphenoxypropionate group, inhibiting acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase and FOPs.
Uses
This herbicide is absorbed through the leaves and roots and has limited translocation within the plant. Symptoms of effect on the plant include wilting, yellowing of leaves, and inhibition of root and stem growth. The half-life of the herbicide in the soil is between 30 and 60 days.
The application time of this herbicide is the 2-5 leaf stage of broadleaf weeds and it should be used in non-stressed environmental conditions. No cash period has been recorded for this herbicide so far. Galant Super controls a wider range of weeds compared to other broadleaf herbicides.
