A contact and systemic insecticide and larvicide effective against vegetable minnow larvae and fly larvae in livestock
How it works
A contact and systemic insecticide and larvicide for dipteran larvae, from the triazine group with an acute oral toxicity level of 3387, which has no isomers, and its mode of action is to prevent the growth, development, and molting of larvae, resulting in a complete cessation of insect emergence.
Uses
It is known by the trade name Trigard and is used in Iran to control minnow larvae in vegetables and fly larvae in livestock farms, and in other countries only for various types of flies in livestock farms.
This insecticide affects the molting stage of larvae but has no effect on adult insects, and the best time to spray is when the flies start to reproduce. In high densities, you can repeat the spraying two to three weeks later.
Of course, insecticides also interfere with the reproduction and growth of humans and mammals. If spraying livestock waste, it should not come into contact with other animals such as poultry and livestock, and this waste should not be used in composting edible mushrooms. The withdrawal period for spraying poultry and livestock waste is 21 days.
