Description
Pertilachlor (Rifit) Bhavaran
Pertilachlor-50% EC
1 liter package
Selective herbicide, against broadleaf weeds such as sedges and grasses in rice fields
How it works
A selective herbicide from the chloracetamide group and an inhibitor of long-chain fatty acid synthesis that prevents cell division. This herbicide is absorbed through the hypocotyl, mesocotyl, and coleoptile, and to a lesser extent through the roots.
Uses
In other countries, it is used to control annual broadleaf and narrowleaf weeds such as salam and jagan in rice. Application of this herbicide is recommended 6 days after transplanting in rice. No cash period has been recorded for this poison so far.
Direct application of this herbicide in rice will not harm the crop. The half-life of the herbicide in the soil is about 30 days.
