How it works
A selective herbicide from the dinitroaniline group that inhibits cell division and root growth and is absorbed through the hypocotyl and is not translocated within the plant. Symptoms of the effect include increased root diameter, swelling in the root meristem area, and inhibition of lateral root growth.
Uses
Terflan is mostly used as a pre-planting or pre-emergence mixture with soil. In other countries, it is used to control various weeds in cotton, beet, potato, peanut, tomato, alfalfa, medicinal plants, rapeseed, and bean fields.The half-life in soil is 57 to 126 days, and no cash period has been recorded for this pesticide. It kills weed seeds after they germinate in the soil and has no effect on weeds that have sprouted before spraying.
